JenJen, we need more than the word of God to live (the bible) but we need his Word to us (Voice and Vision). The bible has laws that even the gentiles will apply in their own kingdoms and it will conform as well.Remember the enemy (devil) was hoping to use the word of God (Bible) to win the christ (the Living word)? That means that even the devil relies somehow on the bible to be 'justified'.Ponder this well.So we need his voice...My sheep hear my voice and follow me....:not the bible but ME.
For we have not only the bible NOW,but the ACTUAL LIFE of God DWELLING in us if we truly believe (that is, are born of God).Therefore we need discernment and the life of God and not the mere rules of the letter (bible) to live a victorious christian life.
